Well, well, well. If it isn’t a liberal Democrat who had an epiphany that border states and Republican leaders have been shouting for years to deaf progressive ears. New York City Mayor Eric Adams gave an emphatic speech at a town hall warning that migrants are taking over the city and ruining “the city we knew.”

Adams made statements that would have gotten Republicans vilified:

“We are getting ten thousand migrants a month. One time we were just getting Venezuela; now we get Ecuador, not we get Russia speaking coming through Mexico. Now we getting Western Africa; now we getting people from all over the globe have made their minds up that they’re going to come through the southern part of the border and come into New York City.”

“I don’t see an ending to this. This issue will destroy New York City…Every community in this city is going to be impacted” he continued.

Adams lamented “We have a twelve billion dollar deficit that we’re going to have to cut every service in this city is going to be impacted. All of us. I said it last year when we had 15,000 and I’m telling you now with 110,000 the city we knew, we’re about to lose.” However, no accountability was taken: “Everyone is saying it’s New York City’s problem” he whined.
