Wall Street Journal: NYPD increases security for Election Day

The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday that the New York Police Department is preparing additional security measures for Election Day voting sites.

According to the NYPD, police officers will be dispatched to monitor 1,201 polling places across New York City on Nov. 3, “including 708 public schools and new polling sites at Madison Square Garden and Lincoln Center in Manhattan, and Barclays Center in Brooklyn.”

Moreover, there will be additional officers dispatched to 88 polling places offering early voting beginning Saturday.
