The Israel Defense Forces have posted a video showing how Hamas took advantage of a place of worship in its terrorist activities. In the video, an IDF officer tours a mosque and shows the basement, which was utilized as a Hamas rocket manufacturing lab.
Posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, the official IDF account wrote:
“Holy places, such as mosques, should not be used as fronts for terrorism. Hamas used this mosque as a weapons storage facility and a laboratory for Hamas’ rockets. Finding dozens of mortars, warhead missiles, thermobaric weapons, RPGs and a tunnel shaft. What was once a place of worship is now a home for terrorism.”
In the video guided tour, the soldier explains that Hamas built entire walls around the missile laboratory in order to hide them. The walls had to be destroyed “in order to expose the lab.” Further inside is also a hidden entrance to the operational tunnel system where terrorists can hide.
There is also a white board with sketches of the rockets being built, and a large room full of fuzes and bomb and rocket making materials.
