TX Mayoral candidate arrested, charged with 109 counts of voter fraud
Zul Mohamed, a mayoral candidate running in the city of Carrollton, Texas, has been arrested for allegedly sending 84 applications for mail-in ballots, Fox News is reporting.
Upon searching Mohamed’s home, investigators found 25 ballots. Mohamad faces charges of 25 counts of knowingly possessing a ballot with intent to defraud and 84 counts of providing false info on a voting application.
“Mail ballots are inherently insecure and vulnerable to fraud, and I am committed to safeguarding the integrity of our elections. My office is prepared to assist any Texas county in combating this form of fraud,” Attorney General Ken Paxton said in a statement.
