The Trump administration has announced reupping a $5 million reward for information leading to the capture and prosecution of Yulan Adonay Archaga Carías, also known as “Porky,” the alleged head of the notorious MS-13 gang in Honduras, the New York Post reports. Archaga Carías is accused of overseeing the gang’s violent, disturbing operations, which include drug trafficking, money laundering, murder, and kidnapping, according to the U.S. State Department.

The reward, first offered in 2023, is part of a broader effort to dismantle MS-13, which President Trump officially designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization earlier this year. Archaga Carías is also listed among the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives.

Attorney General Pam Bondi urged the public to assist in bringing Archaga Carías to justice, emphasizing the threat MS-13 poses to communities across the U.S. and the Western Hemisphere. FBI Director Kash Patel reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to capturing Archaga Carías, stating that dismantling MS-13 remains one of the FBI’s top priorities.

The State Department reports that Archaga Carías is responsible for smuggling significant quantities of cocaine into the United States. Derek Maltz, Acting Administrator of the DEA, warned that anyone aiding Archaga Carías would face consequences, stressing the administration’s determination to dismantle MS-13.

“Archaga Carías isn’t just a fugitive — he’s a foreign terrorist waging war on innocent Americans through murder, trafficking, and terror,” Maltz said, later adding “Let me be clear: under this Administration, we will dismantle MS-13 piece by piece — and anyone protecting him will fall with him. A $5 million reward is on the table. Turn him in. End this threat.”

Archaga Carías was charged in a 2021 federal indictment with racketeering, drug trafficking, and firearms offenses. Of the five Honduran MS-13 leaders named in the indictment, only one is currently in U.S. custody.

Federal prosecutors allege that Archaga Carías provided protection and armed support to drug trafficking organizations moving large shipments of cocaine through Honduras to the U.S., and that he employed MS-13 members as assassins. He is also accused of orchestrating murders of rival gang members, drug traffickers, and even disloyal MS-13 associates.

If convicted, Archaga Carías faces a mandatory minimum of 40 years in prison, with a possible life sentence. Authorities are encouraging anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact the FBI.
