Former Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Tom Homan is warning the public to tone down the “political rhetoric” asserting the action incites violence against ICE agents.
Homan expressed his frustration to Fox News’ Harris Faulkner Wednesday, after a month-long wave of attacks on ICE facilities throughout the country.
The most recent “targeted attack” occurred Tuesday at an ICE office in San Antonio where shots were directly fired into the office, according to the FBI who’s now investigating the case. Homan called it “an act of terrorism.” No one was injured in the attack.

Recently, a member of “the squad” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) accused the Trump Administration of running concentration camps at our Southern border, and when given the opportunity to retract her statement in an interview with Eyewitness News ABC7NY this week, she said ‘I don’t regret it at all.’ Ocasio-Cortez isn’t the only one demonizing ICE. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi instructed illegal immigrants on how to avoid ICE during immigration raids and urged fellow Democrats to do the same.
It’s clear that the Left has adopted the rallying cry to “abolish ICE”, and, as Homan told Faulkner it’s fueling violence against ICE agents. “When you sit there and vilify the men and women of ICE and the border patrol, everyday, the media outlets, the people running for president, and the democratic leadership that catches on and these attacks on our law enforcement officers have escalated ever since that hate started coming out from the left,” said Homan.
