SCOTUS Partially Upholds Indiana Law On Treating with Dignity Aborted Babies

The US Supreme Court has partially upheld an Indiana law requiring abortion providers to dispose of aborted fetuses in the same manner as human remains. Mike Pence, then the governor of Indiana, in 2016, signed a law that required fetal remains be disposed of the same way as human bodies.

Vice President Pence responded with a tweet to the Supreme Court decision, saying:

“As Governor of IN I was proud to sign a law that requires remains of aborted babies be treated w/dignity & respect and blocks groups like Planned Parenthood from the horrific practice of selling fetal tissue. Today’s decision by the Supreme Court was a victory for life!”
