Schiff Labels Trump an ‘Unindicted Co-Conspirator’

Ranking Member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Adam Schiff (D-CA) called President Trump an “unindicted co-conspirator” on CBS’ “Face the Nation” Sunday suggesting he will be indicted after he leaves office for “coordinating and directing” his campaign to colluding with Russia.

Host Margaret Brennan interviewed Schiff ahead of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s testimony before the House Intelligence committee Wednesday. Although, the Mueller report cleared the Trump campaign from then-alleged collusion with Russia, Schiff insists on beating a dead horse.

“We want Bob Mueller to bring it to life, to talk about what’s in that report. It’s a pretty damning set of facts that involve a presidential campaign in a close race welcoming help from a hostile foreign power, not reporting it, but eagerly embracing it, building it into their campaign strategy, lying about it to cover up, then obstructing an investigation into foreign interference again to try to cover up,” said Schiff.

Schiff described Mueller as the only person who can deliver “a pretty damning set of facts” to the American people claiming both Attorney General William Barr and President Trump are misleading the country. Additionally, Schiff accused Trump of racism over a recent tweet about the so-called “squad” of congresswoman.

“This is who he is and he thinks it’s a winning political strategy, and God help us if it is,” said Schiff.

He called Trump’s comments “a losing strategy.” However, Trump immediately clarified that his tweets “were NOT racist” and that he doesn’t “have a racist bone” in his body.
