Sara Carter spoke to individuals on the streets of Philadelphia in order to get their response to Harris’ promises. One woman chuckled as she said Harris was just “trying to get votes” and questioned, “why does it have to be for Black men, why can’t it be for everybody?”

One man said of course it was “for election purposes” and that there is a lot of “back scratching” occurring prior to voting day. He continued to say “we need to look into it” more otherwise risk “making a mistake.”

A young Black man told Carter he is a Trump supporter because when Trump was office, the Black community was actually improved. “When Trump was in office it was easier for us to survive” he stated.
