Sara A. Carter: ‘The American People Aren’t Gonna Buy Schiff’s Lies Anymore’
The Ukraine controversy is firing back on Democrats who are trying to perpetuate a false narrative, according to Sara A. Carter’s report on Fox News’ Hannity Monday night.
House Intelligence committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) went before lawmakers to read a completely fabricated account of a phone call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at a hearing on Capitol Hill several weeks ago.
Additionally, Chairman Schiff apparently lied when he claimed that members of the committee hadn’t met with the whistleblower after committee staff did just that.
Sara A. Carter told Hannity that Democrats mishandled the investigation entirely.
“The whistleblower’s story just didn’t add up,” she said.”Adam Schiff and the whistleblower, himself, did not inform the intelligence community’s Inspector General Michael Atkinson that they had communicated.”
The Chairman, along with other prominent Democrats, believe Trump struck a quid-pro-quo deal with Zelensky and that he asked Ukraine to conduct opposition research into a political opponent, former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden. The Democrats claimed that the White House was withholding military aid to Ukraine until the Ukrainians followed through with the investigation against Biden.
However, that narrative fell apart. Carter pointed out Zelensky’s recent statements that he never knew any military aid was being withheld and in the transcripts there is no evidence that Trump said anything of the sort.
“If you just look at the transcript on its face, which was eventually released by the President, you can see that for yourself,” Carter explained. The transcript was released publicly and showed no evidence of ‘quid pro quo,’ Carter stated.
“Schiff is continuing to push, continuing to push over and over again for some type of impeachment and this is moving forward as an impeachment investigation. I just don’t think the American people aren’t gonna buy these lies anymore.”
