A historic event occurred at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona Friday after Robert F Kennedy suspended his presidential campaign and publicly endorsed Donald Trump.
Speaking at a packed arena, Trump invited Kennedy to join him on stage in front of tens of thousands of individuals. Speaking about Kennedy, Trump stated in his introduction: āHis candidacy has inspired millions and millions of Americans, raised critical issues that have been too long ignored in this country and brought together people from across the political spectrum in a positive campaign grounded in the American values of his father, Robert Kennedy, a great man, and his uncle, President John F Kennedy,ā Trump said. āAnd I know that they are looking down right now, and they are very, very proud of Bobby. Iām proud of Bobby.ā
Kennedy explained to the roaring crowd that in his initial conversations with Trump ā after the July 13 assassination attempt in Butler, Pa., ā the two discussedĀ ānot the things that separate us, because we donāt agree on everything, but on the values and the issuesā they share.Ā āOne of the issues that he talked about was having safe food and ending the chronic disease epidemic,ā Kennedy said.
āDonāt you want healthy children? And donāt you want the chemicals out of our food? And donāt you want the regulatory agencies to be free from corporate corruption? And thatās what President Trump told me that he wanted.ā
As a ātributeā to RFK, Trump announced that if elected he would establish a commission on assassination attempts that would release all federal records related to JFKās murder.
āThey will also conduct a rigorous review of the attack last month,ā Trump noted. āBut I tell you, I have never had more people ask me, āPlease, sir, release the documents on the Kennedy assassination,ā and weāre going to do that.ā
