Report: White House To Push $850 Billion Stimulus Package

Fox News reported Tuesday that the White House is heading towards pushing for an $850 billion stimulus package amid the COVID-19 global pandemic. Moreover, the package will largely support tax relief efforts, Fox has learned.

The economic relief package will also grant loans to small businesses and support airlines, Fox News Chief White House Correspondent John Roberts confirmed on Twitter Tuesday. He wrote, “Fox News has learned that Donald Trump will ask Congress for more than $500 bil in payroll tax cut, $250 bil in Small Business Association loans, $58 billion for the airlines, and a smattering of other items.”

The Senate is also expected to debate two coronavirus aid bills. “Senate expected to debate/vote on both House coronavirus bills today. Mnuchin to meet Senate GOPers over lunch to discuss next coronavirus response steps. Senate Dems will meet via conference call,” Fox News Congressional reporter Chad Pergram wrote on Twitter.
