Rep. Ilhan Omar was nominated top anti-Semite of the year by a prominent group fighting antisemitism.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) was named “2019’s Top Anti-Semite of the Year,” in an announcement from a prominent group fighting antisemitism, StopAntisemitism.org.

The announcement was made on Twitter Monday.

The group is fighting to ‘expose antisemitism from the radical left, the religious extreme, and the alt-right!’

“Mazal Tov to #IlhanOmar on being named 2019’s antisemite of the year! Thousands voted & the freshman congresswoman came out on top as the most vile Jew hater! America cannot afford leadership that perpetuates hatred against the #Jewish people!” the group wrote in a tweet.

Rep. Omar’s office did not respond to a request for comment. This story will be updated if she responds to the group.
