The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) pointed out on Twitter that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi compared and suggested that the killing of Quds Force leader Qassem Soleimani would be comparable to Iran or some other nation taking out America’s Vice President.
Pelosi said “if the United States had a high level – maybe the second most important person in the country assassinated wherever, the United States might consider that an assault on our country.”
Incredible. Pelosi compared killing the world’s most wanted terrorist to the second most important person in the country? Well, that would be Vice President Mike Pence.
Yes, it’s true. Just listen to her statement below.
Here's @SpeakerPelosi rationalizing her opposition to killing a terrorist who funded attacks on Americans around the world by comparing him to the Vice President of the United States.

Pelosi’s full statement at the press briefing: “So to your point, the argument would be made that putting the shoe on the other foot, if the United States had a high level – maybe the second most important person in the country assassinated wherever, the United States might consider that an assault on our country.”
I’d like to remind Pelosi, and anyone else who feels that Soleimani’s death wasn’t justified, that he was planning to target and kill Americans yet again when President Donald Trump gave the order to conduct the drone strike that killed him.
In no way, shape or form, did Soleimani carry the same political weight or could even be placed in the same political category as Vice President Pence. In fact, Soleimani should not be compared to any other senior level government official in the United States. He was an anomaly of a dangerous and brutal regime that cloaked terrorist Solemani in the disguise of an official member of the Iranian government.
It’s a no-brainer. Yet there are some, like Pelosi, who choose to give the Iranian regime the credibility it does not deserve. But facts are facts. Soleimani’s long history of killing innocent people ended with his own death at the decisive direction of the Trump administration, which believes American lives are worth saving.
Here’s a brief reminder about Soleimani and his killing machine ‘The Quds Force’
- Soleimani was the number one terrorist in the world
- In December he ordered Iran-backed militias and terrorist proxies to conduct a rocket attack that killed an American contractor and was behind the uprising by the militias to target the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad.
Soleimani was responsible for the deaths of more than 600 U.S. soldiers in Iraq and thousands of permanent injuries.
The Quds Force, under Soleimani’s direction, is responsible for hundreds of deaths and injuries in Afghanistan as they trained the Taliban in bomb making and supplied weapons to kill our forces.
Soleimani is responsible for building up proxy terrorist organizations like Hezbollah and Hamas. Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has promised to target US forces in the region in retaliation for the killing of Soleimani.
- Soleimani was a clear and present danger to the United States and planning another attack on American’s and U.S. assets when he was killed.
