Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas slammed President Donald Trump’s “Deal of the Century” plan for progressing peace in the Middle East as a “swiss cheese” deal, during a speech at the United Nations Security Council in New York Tuesday.

“Here’s the summary of the project which was presented,” he said of Trump’s plan. “Here is what we expect as a state. It looks like Swiss cheese. Who among you would accept such a situation.”

The PA was set to vote against the plan in a resolution they presented to the UNSC after their the meeting Tuesday, however, that vote has been delayed, a diplomatic source told The Jerusalem Post.

Trump revealed his “Deal of the Century: peace plan alongside Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu last month. For the Palestinians, it was dead on arrival, and in reaction they ramped up violent demonstrations in Judea and Samaria (West Bank).
