New York City Mayor Eric Adams engaged in a peculiar exchange during a press conference on Monday when a woman appeared to protest his treatment of the city’s homeless population.

In response to the woman’s explicit criticism, Adams made an unusual remark suggesting that one should be happy if someone wants to “make love” to them. The puzzling exchange has raised eyebrows and drawn attention to the city’s ongoing homelessness crisis.

During the press conference, the unidentified woman can be heard cursing at Mayor Adams, accusing him of mishandling the issue of homelessness in New York City.

Rather than directly addressing the concerns raised, Adams chuckled and made a cryptic comment about being happy if someone wants to “make love” to them. The remark left many baffled, and Adams did not elaborate on its meaning. Instead, he quickly moved on to another topic when questioned by a reporter.

New York City has been grappling with a surging homelessness problem, reaching its highest levels since the Great Depression of the 1930s, according to the Coalition for the Homeless. As of December 2022, the city’s main shelter system housed 68,884 homeless individuals, including 21,805 children, according to reports from Fox News.

This recent incident is not the first time Mayor Adams has faced criticism for his responses to concerned citizens. Last month, he was chastised for his handling of a woman’s complaint about rising rent prices in the city.

During a town hall event, Adams appeared defensive and made a controversial comparison when addressing the woman, asking her to treat him with respect and not “point at him” as if she owned him like a plantation owner. The woman was later identified as housing activist Jeanie Dubnau, whose family fled Nazi Germany to seek refuge in New York City.

Despite the criticisms and peculiar responses, Adams has also faced challenges in managing the city’s housing crisis. In June, the New York City Rent Guidelines Board recommended a 3% increase in rents, a decision Adams endorsed, claiming it found the “right balance” for the situation.

As New Yorkers grapple with critical issues like homelessness and housing affordability, Mayor Adams’ unconventional responses have drawn both attention and concern.

The city continues to search for effective solutions to tackle these pressing challenges while hoping for a more transparent and accountable approach from its leadership.

Hidden Camera captures Principal Economist at the Federal Reserve talking about Jerome Powell’s legacy as “somebody who held the line against like, Trump.” According to hidden camera footage of Aurel Hizmo, principal economist at the Federal Reserve, the U.S. agency could have fixed inflation a while ago but refused to do so for fear of hurting President Joe Biden’s re-election efforts.

Hizmo told an undercover reporter that the Fed stopped raising the rates to tackle inflation because it could cause a recession that would likely end Biden’s 2024 campaign.

The influential agency responsible for maintaining a stable monetary system appears to not just be establishing interest rates, but to be setting policies for desired social outcomes. “Under Powell, the Fed has changed to think about equity issues, like racial issues, think about wealth inequality as part of the mandate, as part of the things we are following. Think about climate change.” Aurel Hizmo, Principal Economist at the Federal Reserve, who prior to working at the Fed was an Assistant Professor helps write speeches for Federal Reserve Board Chair Jerome Powell for the Federal Open Market Committee.

Hizmo says “Trump is just a crazy person” and conservatives are “dumb” as he describes to OMG’s American Swiper Citizen Journalist a politicized Federal Reserve Board where Powell has promoted ESG issues like climate change and “wants to be remembered in history” “as a savior.” But shhh…don’t tell anyone because Hizmo says: “I’m just really worried that I’m saying stuff that’s classified…It’s all classified.”
