House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called on the House of Representatives to proceed with articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump during a press conference Thursday. Citing the founding fathers, Pelosi said President Trump’s actions are what the constitution’s framers warned about. Democrats, she said, are “prayerful” that this is the action they will have to take.
“The President leaves us no choice but to act because he is trying to corrupt, once again, the election for his own benefit. The President has engaged in abuse of power undermining our national security and jeopardizing the integrity of our elections,” Pelosi said.
This is a sad day in America. It's a tragedy when bureaucrats – living in a bubble – think they know better than the American people.

“His actions are in defiance of the vision of our founders and the oath of office that he takes to preserve, protect and defend the constitution of the United States, sadly, but with confidence and humility, with allegiance to our founders, and a heart full of love for America today I am asking our chairman to proceed with articles of impeachment,” she said.
On Thursday morning, President Trump wrote that if the “Do Nothing Democrats” want to proceed with impeachment, they should do it “now” and “fast.” Now, that is likely to happen with a House vote before the Christmas break.
