The House Judiciary Committee will vote Thursday to establish rules for hearings on impeachment to continue the panel’s investigations of President Donald Trump. Basically, the Democrats are desperately searching for a crime: any crime will do and they are not going to stop until they find one.
Chairman Jerrold Nadler doesn’t seem to care about anything unless it’s “impeachment.” He has no evidence of malfeasance by the President but he, like Rep. Adam Schiff, D-CA, don’t seem to care.
They are holding congressional hearings in search of a crime. Mind you, they have no evidence of anything but they are hoping, like they did with their debunked Trump Russia collusion theory, that they will find one.
Here’s what he said in his statement Monday.
“The adoption of these additional procedures is the next step in that process and will help ensure our impeachment hearings are informative to Congress and the public, while providing the president with the ability to respond to evidence presented against him,” said Nadler in a statement to announce the vote. “We will not allow Trump’s continued obstruction to stop us from delivering the truth to the American people.”
Remember, over the past several years Nadler, Schiff and other Democrats haven’t wasted any time spreading false rumors, in other words a disinformation campaign, against Trump on their favorite friendly cable news outlets like MSNBC or CNN.
Nadler’s committee, along with his Democratic colleagues, are saying the resolution is similar to procedural votes that took place during the impeachment investigations into Presidents Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton. Still, he has no evidence of obstruction and no evidence that Trump has committed any crime.
Don’t buy the narrative America. This is what Washington does but this time it’s Trump that is in their line of sight. The Democrats can’t get over losing this past three years. They couldn’t prove collusion, obstruction or anything else and they don’t mind if they drag the nation down with them as they continue to pursue their unsubstantiated investigations.
These congressional Democrats remind me of the fictional character Captain Ahab, in Herman Melville’s Moby-Dick. They are willing to disappear into the abyss of unfounded investigations, much like Ahab lost his life going down into the depths of the ocean with the whale. Problem is, their pursuit of justice has never been based on any truth but a series of lies.
Nadler is just another example that Democrats are lost. The only platform they have for the 2020 election is that they hate Trump. Not much of a platform if you ask me.
Much like the staunch Democratic women that comprise ‘the squad’ they are not listening to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, even though she is urging extreme caution regarding impeachment. Pelosi said in May, after Robert Mueller’s Special Counsel found no evidence of collusion or obstruction on the part of the president that, “many constituents want to impeach the president…But we want to do what is right and what gets results.” She stopped short of calling for any impeachment proceedings but some members of her party just aren’t listening and it’s going to backfire on them.
The collusion theory has been debunked by four investigations and there is no evidence of obstruction they can’t seem to get over it. Especially Nadler, who is a man in search of a crime and he is not stopping until he finds one.
My guess is that Nadler would make a federal case against Trump if he found any iota of evidence that the president had once jaywalked across 5th Avenue, in New York City.
According to Nadler the resolution would be a step toward’s Trump’s impeachment but that would require the lawmakers to introduce impeachment articles against Trump and then win approval from the House.
For what? I don’t get this at all. The American people are tired of this Washington D.C. political shark game. I’m sure the American people want a government that works for them and I’m guessing stop all these targeted attacks against the president.
Nadler, Schiff and the Democrats need to get over it.
It’s been nearly three years since the 2016 presidential election. Congress needs to get its act together and stop wasting tax payer dollars on these ridiculous hearings that are only intended for political theater.
The vote on Thursday will set rules for those hearings. It will empower the committee staff, which should be investigating a litany of other issues. It will also empower them to once again drag innocent people before them for questioning and force those witnesses to get attorneys and spend thousands of dollars.
In March, Nadler received responses from 81 individuals and entities who were asked to provide documents as part of the panel’s wide-ranging investigation into alleged and unproven obstruction by Trump.
To further hold the Trump administration and the American people hostage he’s filed two lawsuits against the administration. He contends that White House has blocked the panel from obtaining documents and testimony but the White House has given more documents (over 1 million) to the committees.
