Yet again, the MSM, otherwise known as the mainstream media machine, is attacking President Trump following an interview with ABC anchor George Stephanopoulos Wednesday. They latched on to one phrase and ran with it. It happens quite often in the anti-Trump circles, administration officials say. Well, they are right.

“I wish the media would take the time to look at the full clip,” said White House Deputy press secretary Hogan Gidley Thursday on Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom”. Gidley was referring to a question Stephanopoulos asked Trump as to how he would handle being approached by a foreign government.

Trump explained he would take the information to his team, but also alert the FBI. His exact words: “I think maybe you do both,” he continued. “I think you might want to listen, there isn’t anything wrong with listening. If somebody called from a country, Norway, [and said] ‘we have information on your opponent’ — oh, I think I’d want to hear it.”

“I just met with the Queen of England (U.K., the Prince of Wales…We talked about “Everything!” Should I immediately call the FBI about these calls and meetings? How ridiculous! I would never be trusted again,” Trump

Trump further reacted on Twitter Thursday saying, “I meet to talk to “foreign governments” every day. I just met with the Queen of England (U.K., the Prince of Wales, the P.M. of the United Kingdom, the P.M. of Ireland, the President of France and the President of Poland. We talked about “Everything!” Should I immediately call the FBI about these calls and meetings? How ridiculous! I would never be trusted again. With that being said, my full answer is rarely played by the Fake News Media. They purposely leave out the part that matters.”

Gidley reiterated to Fox News’ Sandra Smith that it was then-candidate Hillary Clinton who weaponized alleged dirt on President Trump to prevent him from every winning the 2016 election. “The president got no information from Russia. It was the Hillary Clinton campaign that actually used the information and the FBI actually weaponized it against us because of the corruption at the upper echelons,” said Gidley.
