A suspect in London, England was shot by British police Friday after struggling with the suspect who had stabbed numerous pedestrians on London Bridge. The area is known for its significant pedestrian and automobile traffic. Police shutdown the thoroughfare and treated the situation as ‘terror-related’, according to Fox News reports.
Authorities reported “a number of people have been injured.” According to Scotland Yard first responders were called to “a stabbing at premises near to London Bridge” just before 2 p.m. local time.
British officials said “a man has been detained by police.”
However, British authorities are confirming that the terror suspect was killed and five people injured in the attack, according to reports.

“Just a few minutes ago I was walking across London Bridge on the south bank to the north bank of the bridge,” according to BBC reporter John McManus. “There appeared to be a fight going on on the other side of the bridge, with several men attacking one man.”
