On Tuesday, MSNBC host Joe Scarborough went on a Twitter rant over his earlier remarks that the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol was not equitable to businesses getting looted and vandalized during last summer’s Black Lives Matter riots.

Tuesday afternoon, The Daily Caller shared a clip from Scarborough’s MSNBC program “Morning Joe” in which the former Republican congressman said the two weren’t comparable.

“There are idiots on other cable news channels that will say ‘Well, you know, there was this mom-and-pop store was vandalized during the summer riots and that’s just as bad as the United States Capitol being vandalized,'” Scarborough said in the clip. “No, jack—, it’s not. The Capitol of the United States of America is the center of American democracy, and while I am a fierce believer in people’s right to defend their private property, I’m not going to confuse a taco stand with the United States Capitol.”

In the same Twitter thread as that clip, The Daily Caller tweeted, along with a video from the Kenosha, Wisconsin riots and a man standing outside his burnt business: “Was Scott Carpenter’s furniture store which was burned down during the riot in Kenosha just a taco stand @JoeNBC?”

Scarborough responded within minutes of the publication’s tweets.

“Do you think it is the same?” Scarborough fired back on Twitter. “Are you too stupid to understand the destruction of personal property is abhorrent, and at the same time realize that a terrorist attack against the US Capitol is a greater threat to America? Is arson against a warehouse the same as 9/11?”

In response to the video of the furniture store, the MSNBC host wrote: “No jack—. It was a furniture store. And the freaks who burned it down should rot in jail until they pay him back.”

The Daily Caller‘s Chief Video Director Richie McGinniss shot back at Scarborough, saying: “The *federal courthouse in Portland was attacked for over 100 days straight. I was at the Capitol and I was in Portland. Both were abhorrent because they were both examples of POLITICAL violence. For Joe, The Capitol riot was Trump supporters and that’s the *real difference.”

Scarborough replied: “You are being ignorant. I have attacked rioters in Portland since the summer. I have specifically blasted Portland’s mayor and Oregon’s governor repeatedly for letting rioters trash the federal courthouse and destroy the city. Can you do the same to the Trump Terrorists?”

Chinese Spy Balloon: Tensions rise between the U.S. and China

A strange object was spotted Wednesday over Billings Montana. The Pentagon confirmed Thursday that the strange object was, in fact, a Chinese spy balloon. According to a report from KPAX, a western Montana news outlet, the balloon had been on the governments radar for days.

On Friday, the Chinese government released a statement saying that the balloon spotted in Billings is a “civilian airship” that’s sole purpose is used to collect research on weather and that it had just blown off course. The balloon was not shot down by orders of the Pentagon due to the risk of falling debris injuring people on the ground.

Sara Carter, who has spoken frequently on the Chinese government’s threat and expansion to the West, stated on Twitter that the United States has failed to stop China from purchasing land near military installations, vital agricultural land, as well as, allowing Chinese linked companies, such as Huawei, to install technology in cellular towers. Those cellular towers are located in Montana, along side more than 150 ICBM nuclear silos.

China said, “The Chinese side regrets the unintended entry of the airship into U.S. airspace due to force majeure.” Majeure meaning that it was out of there control. It blew off course due to limited “self-steering” capabilities according the Ministry. The ministry also stated that the balloon, “deviated far from its planned course.”

This incident is adding fuel to the fire of what is already a tense relationship between the worlds two largest economies. China already lays claim to approximately 80% of the South China Sea, and is seeking full control over Taiwan after assuming full control of Hong Kong. China’s belt and road initiative has invested copious amounts of money into building infrastructure in other countries and uses it as economic blackmail. China’s transportation of fentanyl into Mexico is yet again another example of how they are seeking to damage the US.

Is this just a weather ballon that blew off course? US officials at the White House seem to be unconvinced and will continue to monitor the balloon, as reported.

UPDATED: Statement from the Pentagon was jaw dropping when a reporter asked if the public has a right to know about Beijing’s balloon.

“The public certainly has the ability to look up in the sky and see where the balloon is,” a DOD official responded.
