Organizers of the November 14th pro-Israel March in Washington, D.C. anticipate that 100,000 people will attend the event on the National Mall, according to a permit issued by the National Park Service. The “March for Israel” rally was organized by the Jewish Federations of North America and the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations. Speakers will include relatives of hostages, bipartisan congressional leaders, college students and Jewish actress Debra Messing.

The rally takes place as Israel, and President Joe Biden, who has been supportive of Israel in its fight to remove Hamas’ power from Gaza have faced extraordinary backlash and calls for a “ceasefire.” “We call on President Biden to urgently demand a ceasefire; and to call for de-escalation of the current conflict by securing the immediate release of the Israeli hostages and arbitrarily detained Palestinians; the restoration of water, fuel, electricity and other basic services; and the passage of adequate humanitarian aid to the Gaza strip,” a letter to President Joe Biden states. The letter says the signatories represent various backgrounds and faiths and work in more than 30 departments and agencies; including Biden’s own staff.

However, not enough coverage has occurred over the global support for Israel that is circulating on social media. Many commentators have noted that pro-Hamas and/or pro-Palestine rallies across the world only carry flags of Palestine or Hamas. By contrast, participants in every single pro-Israel rally have also included the flag of their home country.

In New Zealand, a beautiful display of the traditional Haka performance was done in support of Israel. A tweet showing the video added that “a Palestinian pro-Hamas rally was meant to be held in Auckland, New Zealand today. Then a group of #Maoris came and led a Haka in support of Israel. The Palestinian-Hamas cowards quickly cancelled their rally.”

There was also great show of support in Japan. Notice both Israeli and Japanese flags were flown.

Israeli Media Reports on Tentative Acceptance of U.S.-Brokered Ceasefire with Hezbollah

Israeli media reported Sunday that Jerusalem has provisionally agreed to a U.S.-brokered ceasefire proposal with Hezbollah, the Islamic Republic-backed militia in Lebanon. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu approved the framework after consultations with senior cabinet members and defense officials, according to Haaretz, Kan, and Ynet.

Foreign Desk News reports that the proposed ceasefire involves a three-phase process. First, Hezbollah operatives would relocate north of the Litani River. Next, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) would withdraw to within Israel’s borders. Finally, mediation would begin between Israel and Lebanon to address unresolved territorial disputes.

Key to Israel’s agreement is a U.S. assurance letter permitting military action in the demilitarized zone if Hezbollah attempts to rearm and the Lebanese armed forces fail to intervene. A U.S.-led international oversight committee will enforce the terms of the agreement.

While Netanyahu expressed some concerns, sources indicate he accepted the core elements of the deal. Former U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Dan Shapiro, is expected to arrive in Tel Aviv on Monday to finalize the details.

The agreement marks a significant diplomatic effort to de-escalate tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, amid ongoing regional instability.
