Hezbollah leader vows to take revenge on U.S. for supporting Israel, commends those involved in ‘holy war’
The leader of the Iranian-backed Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah gave a terrifying speech on Friday threatening the United States for supporting Israel. In a televised speech, Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah stated: “Let me be clear, the United States is just as responsible…Americans have to pay, they have to pay for Israel’s slaughter.”
Just a few days after Hamas invaded Israel on October 7th, perpetrating the most brutal massacre against Jews since the Holocaust, Hezbollah terrorists clashed with Israel Defense Forces along the Lebanon border, unequivocally opening a second front for the Jewish state in the conflict.
Despite Hezbollah’s immediate agitation and expanding the conflict, Nasrallah vowed, If Israel’s military attacks Lebanon, where Hezbollah is operating, it will “pay dearly.” He then applauded all hostile forces in the entire growing Middle Eastern coalition involved in the fight against Israel, which he described as a righteous “holy war.”
“We must salute the … strong and brave Iraqi and Yemeni hands who are now involved in this holy war,” he added. “To the Americans, I say to you, remember your defeats in Lebanon, Iraq, in Afghanistan and remember how you humiliatingly withdrew from Afghanistan,” he said.
“Today, Americans, I say to you, that those who defeated you in Lebanon at the beginning of the 80s, they are still alive and together with them we have today their children and their grandchildren.”
“Those who want a prevent a regional war, they must quickly proceed to put an end to the aggression on Gaza,” Nasrallah added. “And you, the Americans, you know very well that if war were to erupt in the region that your Navy ships, your Air Force, will be to no available and your interests, your troops your Navy ships, they will pay the price first and foremost, they will be the biggest loser.”

Israeli Media Reports on Tentative Acceptance of U.S.-Brokered Ceasefire with Hezbollah
Israeli media reported Sunday that Jerusalem has provisionally agreed to a U.S.-brokered ceasefire proposal with Hezbollah, the Islamic Republic-backed militia in Lebanon. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu approved the framework after consultations with senior cabinet members and defense officials, according to Haaretz, Kan, and Ynet.
Foreign Desk News reports that the proposed ceasefire involves a three-phase process. First, Hezbollah operatives would relocate north of the Litani River. Next, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) would withdraw to within Israel’s borders. Finally, mediation would begin between Israel and Lebanon to address unresolved territorial disputes.
Key to Israel’s agreement is a U.S. assurance letter permitting military action in the demilitarized zone if Hezbollah attempts to rearm and the Lebanese armed forces fail to intervene. A U.S.-led international oversight committee will enforce the terms of the agreement.
While Netanyahu expressed some concerns, sources indicate he accepted the core elements of the deal. Former U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Dan Shapiro, is expected to arrive in Tel Aviv on Monday to finalize the details.
The agreement marks a significant diplomatic effort to de-escalate tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, amid ongoing regional instability.
