Sara Carter joined Fox News’ Sean Hannity to get the pulse of Americans’ take on the trial of former president Donald Trump. One Trump supporter said it is outrageous. One man told Carter that his husband thinks Trump will be convicted but that in his opinion it’s all just a “nothing burger.”
One woman said she believes he is “just a target” because “they” know he “has a chance to ‘Make America Great Again’ and they are just using that against him.” It’s “just dirty politicians” she concluded.
Another man said it’s a “show.” As Hannity points out, New York City is very liberal, and the comments do not fully reflect that. Carter explains there has been a shift in how people are thinking; “the people are tired of these “sham courtroom dramas.”
Even those who consider themselves independents or Democrats see this as the weaponization of the court system, and they feel Trump has been targeted for who he is, not what he has done.
Additionally, Carter notes that those who do want Trump prosecuted “don’t even have an answer” as to what they want him prosecuted for.
