Coronavirus: White House Taking Temperature Checks As Precautionary Measure To Protect POTUS And VP
White House officials are checking the temperatures of anyone in close contact with President Donald Trump or Vice President Mike Pence just a day after a national emergency was declared to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus, according to Politico, which first reported the new procedure.
In fact, White House staff met reporters at the door of the press briefing room with a thermometer and are checking the temperatures of everyone coming in for a noon conference called by the Vice President.
The conference was announced by Trump on Twitter.
