Congress Shuts Down U.S. Capitol, House, Senate Offices Until April 1, Amid Coronavirus Spread

Congress is shutting down the U.S. Capitol to the public until April 1, the Associated Press reported Thursday.

The first case of COVID-19 on Capitol Hill was reported Wednesday after a staffer from Sen. Maria Cantwell’s, D-WA, office tested positive for the virus. will update the story as it develops.
