CNN and MSNBC Just Got Beaten in the Ratings by… The Hallmark Channel

Published

on

How bad are things at CNN and MSNBC? So bad that they were both recently beaten in ratings by the Hallmark Channel.

We are just three weeks off of one of the most contentious and historic presidential elections in recent history and more people are watching the Hallmark Channel than the supposed journalists and political analysts of CNN or MSNBC.

One has to wonder how CNN justifies Anderson Cooper’s $20 million dollar salary when people would rather watch Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story.

Forbes reports:

Hallmark Beat CNN And MSNBC In Viewers Last Week

The Hallmark Channel has begun its annual “Countdown To Christmas,” and has already nine films on its slate of 32 new holiday movies as the network moves toward its annual seasonal dominance of TV ratings, when its programs regularly beat out even the most popular cable sports and news broadcasts.

– Hallmark rose to be the third most-popular channel in primetime and total-day viewership in the week of Nov. 11 to 17, beating out both MSNBC and CNN.

– The Hallmark Channel was third among all cable networks —falling only to Fox News and ESPN—with an average of 810,000 viewers in primetime and 479,000 viewers at any given point in the day.

– The network has steadily gained audience members each week since the first of its holiday movie lineup debuted Oct. 18, rising from the seventh most popular total-day channel that week with 387,000 average viewers.

CNN and MSNBC are facing grim times ahead. When these networks with seemingly unlimited resources can’t beat the Hallmark Channel in ratings when all anyone is talking about is politics, it’s time to call it a day.

CNN= The Clinton News Network is failing miserably! Perhaps the entire network should take a long walk into the woods and do some self-refection———–or just keep fighting amongst yourselves——–either way———–I DON’T GIVE A DAMN WHAT YOU LIKE OR DISLIKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now, Home Shopping Network is vying to beat CNN and MSNBC, too! They’re debuting a new line of Head Shavers, they believe will attract Progressive women away from the depressing news!

Reporters from Hallmark would certainly be more believable than anyone from CNN. Get rid of the biased, CNN personnel.
Send the Hallmark reporters to Capitol Hill and the White House.

Federal Appeals Court Upholds TikTok Ban Law, Setting Stage for Supreme Court Showdown

Published

on

In a major development on Friday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit upheld a law requiring TikTok’s Chinese parent company, ByteDance, to sell the popular app or face a ban in the United States. A panel of three judges unanimously ruled against TikTok’s petition for relief, solidifying a legal battle that now appears headed for the Supreme Court, reports National Review.

The appeals court ruled that the contested portions of the law withstand constitutional scrutiny, with Judge Douglas Ginsburg emphasizing the government’s national security rationale. “The First Amendment exists to protect free speech in the United States,” Ginsburg wrote. “Here the Government acted solely to protect that freedom from a foreign adversary nation and to limit that adversary’s ability to gather data on people in the United States.”

U.S. officials, including leaders at the Department of Justice, have consistently raised alarms about TikTok’s relationship with the Chinese Communist Party, calling the app a national security threat of “immense depth and scale.”

TikTok argued that the law infringes on its First Amendment rights and that divesting from ByteDance is “not possible technologically, commercially, or legally” by the January 19 deadline. However, the court dismissed these arguments, leaving the app’s fate in jeopardy as the deadline looms.

Both the U.S. government and TikTok had pushed for a decision by Friday to allow sufficient time for potential appeals or alternative measures before the ban takes effect.

With the appeals court’s ruling, TikTok’s next move is likely to petition the Supreme Court. The justices could temporarily block the law’s implementation while they consider the case or allow the lower court’s decision to stand.
