CNN anchor Chris Cuomo, the younger brother of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo (D), announced Tuesday that he has tested positive for COVID-19.

Cuomo said he is quarantine in his basement and plans to continue hosting his CNN show from there.

“We will all beat this by being smart and tough and united!” Cuomo wrote in the social media post revealing his diagnosis.

The Cuomo brothers are the sons of the late Gov. Mario Cuomo (D), who served three terms (1983-1994) as the head of New York state’s executive branch. Chris and his wife, Cristina, have three children.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo reacted to the news in his press briefing Tuesday afternoon. “He’s a really sweet, beautiful guy, and he is my best friend,” he said.

As of Tuesday, the state of New York has reported 68,363 confirmed cases of the virus and over 1,342 deaths.
