BLEXIT founder Candace Owens testified before the House Judiciary Committee on Tuesday. Owens opened the hearing on white nationalism with a personal account. Owens said she was a victim of a hate crime in high school. Sitting behind her, Owens said, was her 75-year-old grandfather who had spent his formative years on a sharecropping farm the the segregated South. According to Owens’ testimony, her grandfather lived under threats from the Ku Klux Klan. Owens said she lived with her grandfather as a child and, there, she learned the gravity of a victimhood mentality.

“It’s going to shock the committee but not once, not in a single breath of a conversation, did my grandfather tell me that I could not do something because of my skin color,” she said. “Not once did my grandfather hold a gripe against the white man.”

Owens Criticized Democrats Fear Mongering

Further, Owens criticized Democrats for instilling fear in the black community ahead of important elections. According to Owens, the real problems in black communities in America rest in the education system, the singe motherhood rate, and the rates of abortion.

“The hearing today is not about white nationalism or hate crimes. It’s about fear mongering, power and control.” said Owens.

Owens condemned “pockets of evil that exist” in society today. However, this wasn’t enough for Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA), who played a clip of Owens saying, “If Hitler just wanted to make Germany great and have things run well — OK, fine. The problem is that he wanted, he had dreams out side of Germany. He wanted to globalize. He wanted everybody to be German.”

Owens Clarifies Hitler Statement

Quickly following her statement, Owens clarified that Hitler was a “homicidal psychotic maniac who was bent on world domination” and not a nationalist because of his tyranny over the Jewish population in Germany.

“I think it’s pretty apparent that Mr. Lieu believes that black people are stupid and will not pursue the full clip…That was unbelievably dishonest…I’m deeply offended by the insinuation of revealing that clip without the question that was asked of me.” Owens responded before being cut off by Chairman Jerrold Nadler.

Owens Applauded on Twitter

Moreover, Owens was applauded on twitter for speech ‘that will expose their (Democrats) lies.’
