Bill Gertz raises concerns about China’s space program
Washington Times national security correspondent Bill Gertz appeared on Fox News Primetime Tuesday to talk China, calling it “the greatest national security threat facing the United States.” This comes after reports that the COVID virus could trace its origins back to the Wuhan Virology Institute.
According to Gertz, China’s space program is particularly threatening. “They have the ability right now to knock out satellites at every orbit,” Gertz said. This comes after intelligence reports that unidentified flying objects could possibly be the newest Chinese weapons.
Yet also, Chinese money is tied up in U.S. academia, government, business and entertainment industries. Gertz also claimed that their money has reached high officials in the Biden administration.
“I would say the greatest national security threat facing the United States is the genocidal, nuclear-armed communist dictatorship in Beijing,” Gertz said.
